Is it possible to control Chilled water temperature ?

Friends, One of my friends asked me question on leaving chilled water temperature.

Is it possible to set leaving Chilled Water Temperature from the chiller -

Yes it is possible to reset leaving chilled water temperature. All the chillers do have this reset control panel and we can change the leaving chilled water temperature.

Basically it depends upon the requirement of cooling requirement and Delta T difference.

Many have adopted the principle to have higher Delta T of the order of 12 or 14, in that case energy savings is possible. Higher Delta T reduce load on chiller, as chiller operate on higher side.

ISO 7730 for Thermal Environment Evaluation

ISO 7730 is an International Standard for 'Ergonomics of the Thermal Environment-Analytical Determination and Interpretation of Thermal Comfort Using Calculation of the PMV and PPD and Local Thermal Comfort Criteria’.  ISO 7730 illustrates methods to evaluate the general thermal sensation and the degree of discomfort for occupants exposed to moderate thermal environmental conditions.
